I tried using Microsoft Safety Scanner to remove it but that program only partially removed the malware. I have run the full scan twice using Microsoft Safety Scanner and the malware is still only partially removed. If Microsoft Security Essentials for Windows 7 will not work on Windows 7 Professional what should I use to fully remove the Misleading: Win32 Maxepax malware? MS says on above page: 'You might need to manually remove this program.' Do I understand you correctly that you use Microsoft Security Essentials as your Anti-Virus program?
