I NEED AUTOCAD FOR LINUX. WHEN AUTODESK PORT AUTOCAD TO THIS MORE STABLE AND FAST OPERATING SYSTEM?

WE ARE WAITING FROM YEARS, WE HAVE 300 LICENCES OF AUTOCAD 2000, BUT IN NEXT MONTHS WE MUST DECIDE IF BUY 300 LICENCES OF AUTOCAD FOR LINUX (IF AVAILABLE) OR ABANDON AUTODESK. IN EVERY CASE WE CANNOT UPGRADE TO WINDOWS VISTA, AND THE VIRUSES PROBLEM IN WINDOWS XP SUGGEST TO WE TO SWITCH TO LINUX AND ABANDON WINXP. WE ARE ABLE TO PAY MORE THE LINUX VERSION OF AUTOCAD, +30% WITHOUT PROBLEM. OF WE SWITCH TO LINUX/UNIX ALTERNATIVE ENGINERING CAD SYSTEMS FINE THANKS. Hi, Stop wasting your time and start looking for and training in drafting software which runs in Linux. Church Administration Tools more. Autodesk aren't going to write a non-windows version of AutoCAD in the foreseeable future.

Start looking for LINUX alternative now. You'd have to pay about 50 million a license to get Autodesk to write AutoCAD for Linux in the next few months. Probably not ever then. I don't know what virus problem made you drop XP.

I've never had a virus in XP on either my workstation or laptop. The only place I had virus problems was at home where we surf the internet. I solved that by putting a good AV program on it and keeping it up-to-date.

Good luck with whatever program you end up with. I'm not really a fan or Windows. It's just the OS that runs the program I need. Wrote in message news:5770039@discussion.autodesk.com. I NEED AUTOCAD FOR LINUX.

Sounds like you need to get your systems under control. >WE MUST DECIDE IF BUY 300 LICENCES OF AUTOCAD FOR LINUX (IF AVAILABLE) OR ABANDON AUTODESK. I would think a company with 300 seats would have an IT department that could manage these problems and would not have to ask questions here (a peer-to-peer forum) about what is available for Linux. What is the name of your company? With that number of licenses you should be able to get some personal attention from a very experienced consultant. I just noticed that everyone else responded with a 'real' name.

Care to identify yourself and your company? Sounds like a disgruntled employee that doesn't know how to turn off caplocks or someone from another software baiting us. -- Murph The world is not FLAT so why is your GIS data? Wrote in message news:5770214@discussion.autodesk.com.
